What is the best internet marketing company? Which seo agency does the best search engine optimization? Which does the best PPC? Vote today!

We asked you this question last year, and you voted. It was a tough battle, with several SEO companies such as Bruce Clay, SEOP and Reprise Media struggling for the top spot, but in the end, Hot! Search Marketing's (seo services) won in the final tally, with their free seo and web site creator, and search engine optimization services as low as $29 a month, they were a natural winner. Their web site at www.hotsearchmarketing.com has an easy to use content management system, which allows customers to build and update a web site with no knowledge of any code, which was an additional factor in customer's reviews.

They received top scores on every question, which put them over the edge in total numbers.

However, just because Hot! is the best internet marketing company now doesn't mean they always will be. The battle for 2008’s crown is underway. There are a lot of great companies and we want to know what you think of yours. If you're an agency, have your customers vote here today.

Cast your ballot now and let us now what you think of your current and past internet marketing companies. We take into account about a dozen factors such as cost, quality, customer service, delivery speed, retention rates, individual experiences and more; so please include the following information:

Who is, or was, your internet marketing partner?

How long have you done, or were doing, business with them?

On a scale of 1-10 (10 being most satisfied, 1 being extremely dissatisfied), how would you rate your current provider overall?

On a scale of 1-10 (10 being inexpensive, 1 being extremely expensive), how would you rate them in terms of costs?

On a scale of 1-10 (10 being most satisfied, 1 being extremely dissatisfied), how would you rate their customer service? Answer zero if they did not provide.

On a scale of 1-10 (10 being most satisfied, 1 being extremely dissatisfied), how would you rate the quality of their internet marketing?

On a scale of 1-10 (10 being most satisfied, 1 being extremely dissatisfied) , how would you rate the quality of their search engine optimization services? (or search engine optimisation services?) Answer zero if they did not provide.

On a scale of 1-10 (10 being most satisfied, 1 being extremely dissatisfied), how would you rate their web design services? Answer zero if they did not provide.

On a scale of 1-10 (10 being most satisfied, 1 being extremely dissatisfied), how would you rate their web analytical services? Answer zero if they did not provide.

On a scale of 1-10 (10 being most satisfied, 1 being extremely dissatisfied), how would you rate any other services they provided. Please list these services. If they did perform additional services, please answer zero.

Please no mimicking your customers or providing false information. Only real companies. We will call some posts to verfiy the vote is legit. Spam votes will be deleted and thrown out. Please keep it real.

What is CPA? What does cost-per-acquisition mean for search engine marketing?

cA lot of people have been talking about "CPA", as if this is the hottest and latest new thing with respect to AdWords, MSN AdCenter and Yahoo. A lot of buzz has been generated about it (especially companies such as Singer Direct), so I thought I'd write a quick article on what CPA means, and why you shouldn't let the buzz distract you from knowing some cold hard facts of what it is. CPA is really not anything new, it's just another fancy word to get you to put more money down with your interactive ad agency or for more ad spend on PPC advertising.

First off, CPA is merely a way of specifying how much you are willing to pay for an acquisition. Instead of "cost per click" you are now saying, "cost per customer". It does not mean you will be paying any less than you were before (it does not deflate your click costs), but only that you are specifying how much you want to spend for a goal. The companies will no doubt cover the costs of clicks, and retain the rest (charging a premium for this service)

I believe this model is flawed, for a number of reasons that I'll enumerate here.

First off, why would anyone pay for a set amount for an acquisition when there are already a number of companies out there (such as the winner of last year's vote for the best internet marketing contest "Hot! Search Marketing") that do not charge, say, $200-$1000 per acquisition (which is what a number of financial and insurance companies will wind up paying), but charge under a performance based payment plan of $10-100 dollar per acquisition (it depends on the firm). These companies often provide the same services as PPC agencies, only you receive the traffic for free (as they emphasize SEO). I really don't see any reason why anyone would switch from PPC to CPA when better alternatives exist, such as the PPP method (pay per performance).

One of the reasons a lot of clients liked Hot! Search Marketing was because they offered free SEO, free PPC management, and a free yet advanced, robust web analytics service that offers companies a low cost alternative to high end internet marketing services.

Granted, let's set the record straight, their simple web site is not entirely great, and I am hoping more in the future from a company that clients love so much, but from the talk of their clients, their service is exceptional and its the results, that in the end, matter (though, one client recently said they had trouble getting a hold of them on the phone since they're always so busy, but he noted, that was the only complaint he had for them, since they were generating his business 20 leads a month, and he was paying ten times less than what he was paying YellowPages.com, DexKnows.com and Yelp.com for the same services).

In the end, let's set the record straight, if you're a director in a corporation or large business, and you've just been confronted by a sales rep promising you the heavens of CPA - don't be fooled, CPA is just another fancy word for the same old substandard services that come with AdWords agencies and PPC advertising. Rather than emphasizing cost controls, free clicks and reducing your overall costs, all they're asking is for you to budget and specify the maximum you're willing spend - with no concern at all whether your dollars could be better spent elsewhere (SEO, Direct Marketing, Email Marketing, Getting Corporate Referrals, et cetera).

If you're also spending more than a couple hundred per month on PPC management, you need to get out of your contract right away. The company I work for was recently approached by a company that offered PPC management for ten thousand a month! This is an absolutely ludicrous amount for PPC management on Adwords - considering the skillset to manage a PPC campaign is that of a high school student, and in no way should cost more than a few hundred dollars per month for developing and managing a pay per click campaign(s).

Check out some of the wonderful companies rated in this blog - and hopefully you'll be able to make a better and more informed decision on what the best internet marketing company is for your business - but don't get ripped off! Some of the companies out there that charge enormous sums for SEO & PPC are betting on your ignorance, this blog is here to show you you don't have to pay a lot of money for a big "brand" that could care less about your business (except for when you don't pay your bill), but that there are several dozen companies out there that provide a much higher standard of service, at a cost your business can afford.

If you do business with any of these companies, be sure to return and vote on them so others can make wise and informed decisions. Hot! Search Marketing (www.HotHelpsYouSell.com) won last year's contest, and we can't wait to see who will win this year's for the best SEO, PPC management and the best internet marketing.

Big Problems With AOL Search?

Is AOL intentionally redirecting people using their toolbar to their search results when someone types in a URL? One reader has commented that at least 30% of the time, he types in something such as "craigslist.com" and what comes up is an error that says "Page Cannot Be Found" but has many sponsored ads in its place to choose from. Hmmmm, sounds like big fraud to me, but what do you think? Let us know.

In addition, another email we received commented on one individual who said that when he visited CNN.com his AOL browser reloaded the site automatically almost two dozen times. Now, CNN and AOL are both owned by Time Warner, and CNN.com makes most of its money via online ad revenue. Could it be possible that AOL, via TimeWarner, is intentionally giving CNN extra hits to boost up their traffic numbers for when they sell advertising, much in the way newspapers sometimes exaggerate their readership so they can upsell to advertisers. And, because the AOL browser does not register as the same IP address, it makes one wonder whether something is going on behind the scenes. Let us know what you think.

Does Zeus Internet Marketing Affect Search Ranking?

Zeus Internet Marketing Robot is a handy tool when it comes to time consuming link building campaigns; but does it really work?

Some advertisers complain that using Zeus lost them points with Google; Zeus maintains that it is the quality of how the program is used that ultimately determines whether or not you gain or lose points with the search engines. If you utilize the wrong categories, you're bound to get penalized. Let us know what you think. Have you used Zeus Internet Marketing Robot? Has it worked for your web site?

Does iBusinesspromoter.com work? What do you think of iBusinessPromoter? Reviews of iBusiness Promoter.

Have you used iBusiness Promoter, let our readers know how well it has worked for you. Have you found that it streamlines the linkbuilding process, or still requires a lot of work? Do you feel it is overpriced? Has it worked for your site?

One of our readers, Jim, from New York City, NY, remarked:

"iBusinessPromoter is not bad if you knew what the hell you were doing, but if, like me, you don't know much about web advertising, it's best to go with a seo company that can do all the work for you. I personally don't have time to be messing around with the web site as most of our sales still come from brick and mortar, but the web site helps and in the future, it will probably be a great source of leads...it's just, if you're a busy professional like me, just hire a good company to do the work for you. It's not worth the time and stress trying to figure all that stuff out, Trust me on that one. Plus, iBusinesspromoter is a european company, and with the way the dollar's been falling, it's best to keep our money in the country and give it to American firms, not foreign ones."

Another reader, Erin, from Atlanta, Georgia, said:

"It's a great program that makes things easier, but is it the endall, cureall of seo? No. It's worth having if you manage seo for multiple sites, but if you just have one, just do what I used to do, write great copy for the web site and email five new webmasters with decent pageranks every day for link exchanges. It might take a year or two, but if you keep at it, eventually you'll have a lot of high quality links and your PR will show for it."

Are you, or were you, a customer of FreeRelevantLinks.com? Let us know what you think of their service. Was it great, good, average or a rip-off?

One customer Dan, from Milwaukkee, Wisconsin, remarked:

"After signing up with http://www.freerelevantlinks.com my site went from a Google PR of one to zero. The service looks really nice, and has some nice features, but, it would appear that Google seems to have caught on to what they are doing and are punishing sites that are trying to cheat their natural link building system. Though, the loss in PageRank may have had nothing to do with their service and was just Google updating their algorithims. I can't say for certain, but I will say use this service at your own risk. It seems like it was developed to benefit their own customers with non-reciprocal links, not your site. If you're going to build links to increase your web site's visibility, don't rely on any quick fix link schemes. If you want to save time, use a tool like iBusinessPromoter.com that can help you find relevant sites and save time linking to them; but even that tool has its limitations and costs a whopping five hundred bucks. In the end, my recommendation is, if you're going to build links, build them the old-fashioned way, search Google and email webmasters. Don't buy links and if you exchange links, make sure the link you offer them is from a different site so that Google finds it more relevant. As with all things in life, success depends on hard work and patience. In order to get top position online, you have to go at it hard, and keep at it."

What is the best PPC pay per click advertising company?

Every year we hold a vote to see what company offers the best pay per click advertising service, and again, Hot! Search Marketing has taken the 2008 crown in every category from the 4,632 businesses that voted in our 2007 poll. Companies were asked how satisfied they were with the service in terms of the results it brought, the reduction in PPC costs, and improvements in ROI and Hot! scored a ten with every single customer across the board. However, that doesn’t mean they’ll be the winner for 2009. Cast your vote today and let us know who you think is the best pay per click advertising agency out there today.

How do I get leads from the internet?

This website started as a way to ask you that. We ask for people to send us their ideas, tips and experiences advertising online, so that we can share the best way to promote a website for small businesses. It’s for that reason that we also ask you to take part in our 2008 ‘Who’s the best?’ poll. We’ve emailed thousands of companies from over one hundred different internet advertising and search engine marketing agencies to see what company offers the best service that can help your small business succeed online. Contact us today and let us know what results you’ve experienced with your current lead generation or internet marketing firm. We’ll tally up the results and publish the new winner in 2009.

Joe, from Little Rock, Arkansas, writes:

“The first thing you need to get leads online is a good website. It can’t be just any ordinary website. Our company learned that the hard way. We built a site using Flash that looked really good, but, the thing is, the website didn’t increase our sales to the least. A few years later, we hired an internet marketing consultant from New York City to take a look at our site data, and we found that we simply were not receiving any traffic from the search engines. Our competitors were banking, we weren’t. He referred us to several different firms, and we eventually had a new search engine optimized website built, and utilized something called ppc advertising to increase immediately the number of leads we had been missing out on. Within two weeks, our phones were ringing off the hook. I cannot stress enough the importance of having a good seo website, along with pay per click advertising on Google AdWords, to generate new leads online. It doubled our revenue for the year ending in 2007.”

Crystal, from Los Angeles, California, writes:

“In order to drive new business online, you first have to hire someone that’s a professional in the SEO, or search engine optimization, field. They can make it so your website gets the traffic from people interested in your business. Without it, your website is a lame duck that won’t generate a single lead unless you’re out on the streets begging people to visit your site (kind of like the Yoga centers, that try to nab your business by hollering at you as you walk down West Hollywood).
The second thing you need to do is invest in a company that knows what the hell they’re doing. There are a lot of good SEO companies out there. Unfortunately, most of them are too expensive. The one I was recommended, and which has worked wonders for my business, is a company called Hot! Search Marketing. I like them because they only charge you for results. Other agencies will charge you up to five thousand a month for SEO and not guarantee anything except top placement for keywords. But, what I learned the hard way was getting top placement for keywords doesn’t always translate into new business. In fact, it can become quite the opposite. The company I used before Hot! Search Marketing, SEOP, got our firm top placement for a number of keywords, but, guess what, all we got were calls from solicitors and people interested in a service that had nothing to do with ours! They weren’t a bad company, but they didn’t give us the results we wanted. Our new company, on the other hand, Hot!, has brought us close to one hundred leads per month. We pay them about one thousand dollars a month, but for all the business they generate, it’s more than worth it and a steal compared to the five thousand we were paying before for SEO that didn’t work. My advice: go for a company that guarantees results, and if they only charge for results, even better. You’ll also want one that does more than just PPC and SEO, but also helps you change the design of your site (for free) to get you more customers. Too many of the agencies out there, like Yellow Book and Dex, are lazy bums that don’t give a dime for small businesses. Get a company that cares and that will work with you on a personal, even intimate, level.”

How do I increase my sales from the internet?

We’re asking you! Contact us today and let us know what you think is the best way to increase sales online. Here’s what some people have had to say that have written us:

Mary, from Chicago, Illinois, writes:

“Increasing your sales online is not always easy. You first have to find out if you’re audience is even there. Our company handles intermodal and trucking cartage from the railroads, and we were finding it hard to increase our transportation sales on the web. At first, we figured it just wasn’t there. But then, one of our customers recommended to us a thing called Google’s ‘Keyword Tool’. It allowed us to see what terms people were searching for, and how many were actually doing all the searches. We found that, in fact, many people were looking for our business online, they just couldn’t find us. We hired a SEO company to build us a second website, and within months, we were receiving calls off the hook from customers that were now able to find us online. It doesn’t matter if the country is in a recession, if you’re looking to increase your revenue, profitability and expand your customer base, online marketing and promoting your website through search engine optimization is a MUST. Even though the print directories want you to think people are still looking at your big ads in the books, the truth is, the majority of people are now turning online to find local business information, and also to comparison shop and see if you’re company is good or not based on reviews. It’s for that reason that after you hire a good SEO company to take care of your website, you make sure to check constantly online that no one has written anything bad about your business.”

Patrick, from Seattle, Washington, writes:

“Increasing your sales on the web takes three things: a good website, a good search engine optimization company and good advertising.
In my opinion, a good website is one that loads up fast, has nice pictures and looks professional on every single page. You also need to make sure your phone number and contact info are present everywhere. I can’t stress that enough.
A good search engine optimization company is one that only charges for results. Don’t get suckered in by some of these other seo companies that are BIG scams. We used over ten companies before we settled on an agency called Hot!, from Chicago, and we were even skeptical of them at first too because our account manager was an idiot (thankfully he was fired and replaced with someone that has just done wonders for our site); but before them, we probably forked over a good fifty thousand dollars on search engine optimization trying to rank for keywords such as “software” and “custom software design for corporations”. We ranked for those keywords but found out the hard way that absolutely no one was actually searching for them; not our customers, anyway. Our new company was able to discover certain keywords that actually have brought us in some very lucrative contracts, and because we only pay them for the clients they bring to us, they have a business model I greatly respect and admire (though, how the hell they’re still in business is anyone’s guess since they’re so much cheaper than other internet marketing companies). So if you’re going to outsource your internet marketing, as you should, make sure you do it with the right internet marketing company. What is the best internet marketing company?
For starters, it needs to be one that guarantees customers, not keywords or clicks. The latter are scams.
Second, it needs to be one that uses the latest developments taking place within the internet. This means they have to offer something called Web Analytics. If they don’t offer a web analytics program, they are NO GOOD. Web analytics allows you to see who’s coming to your website, what keywords are bringing them in and whether or not they’re buying or calling. You need this data to see if the company is doing their job. If they don’t offer analytics, don’t bother.
Third, do they offer call tracking, click to call, or live chat? These things do wonders to your sales numbers. We learned it the hard way, but having a toll free number on your site is not enough. You need to offer tools that allow them to contact you instantaneously on your website, or give them the option to have you call them. Our new company Hot! put these things on our new site, and the number of people who contacted us doubled overnight. I’m not kidding, you need to have these things and if the internet marketing company you’re going to do business with doesn’t offer them, don’t even bother.
Fourth, do they offer free pay per click advertising? If you’re being charged to have someone handle your PPC advertising on AdWords, I’ve only got four words for you: YOU’RE BEING RIPPED OFF!!! A friend of mine had Yellow Book or Dex, one of those yellow page companies; handle his pay per click advertising. Guess what? He threw one thousand dollars a month down the drain. He received four leads during those three months of awful pay per click advertising. Four leads!!! When he called to see what the hell they were doing, the sales rep told him someone would call him. No one ever did. I managed my own AdWords account before, and when I saw his, I was flabbergasted. The keywords had nothing at all to do with his business; it was like someone touched a button and a machine pumped them out. He was paying for traffic that did not even want to do business with him. He isn’t alone, either. I’ve heard dozens of stories from these so called internet marketing companies that promise to improve your ROI, increase your sales, find the terms your customers are searching for, and in the end, all they get are keywords designed through a computer program. This is wrong, people. If you want to do truly effective pay per click advertising you have to do several things.
The first is you have to find the right keywords.
The second, you have to make sure you only so search advertising, not that thing Google calls “content network” advertising. The latter is a scam and websites themselves click on your ads to make money. I didn’t receive one lead from the year I spent using Google’s content network, and when I checked to see what sites those ads were showing on, they were bad sites. If you’re advertising on the internet, make sure you only advertise on good sites related to your core business with your core demographic present. It’s the only surefire way how to increase your sales on the internet.
The third thing you have to do is make sure you’re not bidding too much. Being in first position is a waste of money. Go for positions three to six; you get just as much traffic as being in number one, and it’s much less expensive!
Fourth, get a company that watches out for click fraud. This is becoming a very big and expensive deal. This is also something I didn’t know much about until we signed on with Hot!’s service; but going by my estimates, my competitors probably clicked on my ads over a thousand times in one year costing me five thousand dollars! This is completely unethical and outright wrong, but some companies do it to gain an unfair competitive advantage. I say, to hell with them. And, if you get a company that prevents your ads from showing to your competitors, you won’t have to say anything at all. Hot! Search Marketing saved me close to five thousand dollars this year by saving me from click fraud; make sure you get an internet advertising agency that does the same.
Five, get a company that reduces your costs. My new one cut my PPC costs in half by a thing they call PPC optimization. They redid my ads and made changes to my site, which boosted a thing called the “quality score”. In the year I spent with AdWords, I never had any luck improving the quality score, so make sure you get someone who knows what they’re doing.
Six, DO NOT PAY FOR START UP COSTS. Several of these so called pay per click advertising firms charge up to nine thousand dollars to set something up that only takes three to four hours to do. This is one of those elaborate pay per click advertising gimmicks that assumes you’re stupid; when choosing an internet ppc ad agency, make sure it’s free and there are no hefty start up costs.
If you follow these recommendations (along with a few handy ones at Microsoft’s small business center) you’ll be primed and ready for online success. Just remember: go with a company that guarantees and only charges for results and you’ll be fine.”

How do I get new customers online?

This is one that a lot of people ask, and just how does a business get new customers from the Internet? Is it through search engine marketing, SEO, web design, display advertising, word-of-mouth Web 2.0 marketing or a combination of all of them. We’ve asked you to provide us with suggestions for your business peers for the most effective way to get new customers off the internet or web.

Alex, from Phoenix, Arizona writes:

“The most effective way to advertise your business online is to use a combination of search engine marketing with SEO. Word of mouth marketing works on the internet just as it does in the real world. Such sites as Yelp.com have been great at bring referral sales to my door. The only thing with that is you have to make sure your business is doing things right; if you get bad reviews; Yelp.com might actually serve as a way to turn leads cold when they read about the horrible experiences other customers have had. Fortunately, my business has around a 99% satisfaction rate through good management and customer service policies, so Yelp.com has been favorable to us. (Putting a sign on your door and asking people to yelp something good on yelp.com is also a way to get people to write something positive, and remember, the more that people write, the more often your business will show when someone searches a particular category.) However, don’t expect word of mouth marketing to dominate your sales efforts online; it just serves as one of many inexpensive ways to promote your website online. The other ways are through SEO; get a good company for that, preferably one that charges for results, not clicks or keyword rankings. I’ve had bad experiences with the latter, and only good experiences with the former. You’ll also want to look into something called Pay Per Click Advertising. It’s through Google and Yahoo, and it puts ads of your business online so that when people search, they’ll see your site and maybe call you. It can be a little expensive, but, as long as you have a good ppc company managing it for you, it’s a guaranteed way to drive new customers from the internet.”

Tod, from Houston, Texas, writes:

“The best way to get new customers is to get the best SEO company to make sure your website is doin things right. SEO takes some time to improve your site and all, but once you get it up and running, you’ll be longing for a day where you can sit in your chair without the phone hollering at you every minute.”

What is the best way to increase your online sales?

There are several ways to increase your sales from the web, but we want to know what you think is the best way. Send us your experiences and let us know what’s worked best for you and we’ll include it on this page.

Steven, from Oak Brook, Illinois, writes:

“PPC advertising on Google is the best way to increase your sales. However, make sure you pick the right company to handle your PPC or hire an expert consultant. Also, just because someone is certified to handle AdWords doesn’t mean they’re good at it. A six year old could get certified to manage Google’s PPC advertising. We’ve hired several so –called “AdWords certified companies” and all they did was inflate our pay per click costs. You need to get someone that has real-life references (not easy to find as the best PPC professionals are paid well and coveted by the top firms), and who can give you a handle on how they can improve your pay per click advertising performance, and not just manage it. If you can get the right person or company, you’ll be fine. Oh, and watch out for click fraud, because if you don’t, your competitors will eat you alive.”

Henry, from Boston, Massachusetts, writes:

“The most effective way to increase your web sales is through something called “Search Engine Optimization”. Some people like PPC, but if you run a small business like me, PPC can be too expensive (at least on Google, it’s a bit more doable and cheaper on MSN; and as for Yahoo, don’t even bother, they charge you for clicks, but you rarely ever see customers from those clicks…Yahoo is most likely a big scam that no one has figured out yet). What I like about Search Engine Optimization is that you don’t have to pay for clicks, so if you have smaller profit margins but a high volume of sales, SEO is the way to go. Only use PPC if you can’t get into the search results AND ONLY IF YOU CAN AFFORD IT. Don’t pay more for clicks that you actually get from the customer; otherwise you won’t be in business for too long.”

What is the best way to get leads on the internet?

Many people have argued that blogs are one of the best ways to get new leads on the internet. Others believe that something called SEM or search engine marketing is the most effective way to get leads. We ask you, what do you think is the best way to get new leads online? Let us know and we’ll post it here for others in the small to medium business community to see, and learn from, so they don’t make the mistakes others have made when marketing their business online.

John, from San Francisco, California, writes:

“I like the idea of writing great content. It doesn’t have to just be on a website, but writing content and making sure you include several high traffic keywords into it, is one of the most effective ways to get new leads. If, like me, you’re an author and you only make a few dollars off each sale, paying for people to come to your site just isn’t worth it. The best thing to do is to find sites related to your business where potential customers congregate. Ask them questions. Write articles. Write responses and keep at it. Before long, you’ll see an active interest from the online community in your product; and quite a few people might even go and buy it.”

Karla, from Boston, Massachusetts, writes:

“The best way to get leads through the internet is to do everything you can, and then more. It takes patience and hard-work, probably thousands of hours of work, but if you hire a good SEO company that does everything for you; then you can sit back and relax and wait for the results. I’ve found that one of the most important aspects of getting new leads is getting people to your site. One of the most important things you can do is build new links. I can’t say I know much about it, but stay away from companies that promise you thousands of links at once; they can actually harm the way search engines like your website. The best way to get links is to ask people to put them on their sites, and they need to be sites that Google thinks are good and relevant to your business. SEO companies will often do these things for you, and save you quite a lot of time in the process. But if you don’t get links, you probably won’t get much traffic. So save yourself the trouble later on and hire a good seo company today. You will want to make sure the company you pick is one that guarantees results, and by results, I mean customers, not clicks or keywords. Don’t waste your time with companies that charge you for keyword placements, they’re elaborate scams that do very little for business development.”

How do I increase traffic to my website?

Many companies that launch a new website often ask this question months after the site was launched. Many just expect traffic, as if it would simply appear at their door, as the famous motto “if you build it, they will come” would dictate. However, to everyone’s surprise, that’s simply not the case. In order to increase traffic to your website, you don’t just have to build it, but you have to build it right. Send us your observations on what the most effective way to increase visitors to your website is. Here is what some of our readers have had to say about this subject:

Andy, from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, writes:

“If you want to increase traffic to your website, you need to do several things. The first is get something called an “SEO website”. These are different than your normal websites, they’re designed and engineered to work with the search engines. Second, you might also want to use something called PPC advertising. It helps, but don’t rely on it unless you have disposable income you want to give to Google. Third, use a combination of television, radio and print advertising with your website’s url on the advertisement. This is one of the best ways to measure the effectiveness of each one by seeing how much traffic to your website goes with each one. I’ve found the best way, of course, is getting the right internet marketing agency to handle all of these things for you. This way you can make sure you have time to handle the things your business needs you to handle. Trust me, you don’t want to waste your time with AdWords. Hire a professional, a consultant, or even a company to do it all for you. It’s worth every penny.”

Jennifer, from Las Vegas, Nevada, writes:

“The most effective way to increase traffic to your website is to mention it on relevant blogs and articles and websites. You can use the search engines too, but plan on spending some money. If, like me, you don’t have much money to spend and want free internet advertising: write. It’s the best way to generate interest in your website and services.
